It’s not uncommon to accept a Microsoft Teams meeting that someone else has scheduled – this happens in offices across the nation daily. Unfortunately, hackers have created a workaround that sends Microsoft Teams users a meeting invite, and once accepted, the attacker is given full access to that computer.

B4 Networks is aware of this and actively working to deploy the Microsoft Hot Fix to our B4 Cyber Shield and Managed Clients.

As a general rule, do not accept Teams invites from anyone you do not know. For more information, and to read up on other advisories, visit here.

If you do not currently have an IT provider or would like a second opinion on your network security, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We are here to serve you in the Niagara Region and Simcoe County, 24/7/365.
